June Favorites // 2017
Ah! June was a topsy-turvy kind of month. I have gathered a handful of things that I enjoyed over the course of last month below!
Seattle, WA // James and I escaped to Seattle for about a week at the beginning of June and it was wonderful. It was a nice break from the lack of 'weather' that we have here in Southern CA. It was so green and lush and just great. I also may have dragged James all around town listening to Grunge and checking out different music landmarks that he could care less about. <3
Wonder Women // This movie is SO, SO, SO good! I truly did not think that I would like this film so much but seriously guys... you NEED TO SEE IT. I am currently ranking it as my favorite comic book movie.
The Gardners // Our dear friends were in Sequoia National Park camping the last week of June so we made the trek up North to hang out and see them for a bit. If you know me well you know that I cannot stand camping so the fact that we stayed overnight with them is a pretty big deal and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat to get some more hangout time with them. Can you tell that I miss my friends?
Not Your Mothers: Double Take Dry Finish Texture Spray // I am up at 5:15am every weekday for work. Being this the case I have no desire at all to do anything with my hair other than toss it into a ponytail and go. I am trying to get out of this habit though and this dry spray has really helped me out. It takes next to no effort at all and that is exactly what I need if I am going to be doing my hair before sunrise.
Peter Thomas Roth: Rose Stem Cell Mask // I have always kept a little pot of this in my mask collection since it is so good. Although I had been using it sparingly not for any reason other than I have a lot of masks and it just ended up in a pile under others. Maybe about a month or so ago Sarah // @fashflood // posted about how this is her favorite mask and I was compelled to pull it out of hiding. I have been using it as an overnight mask and seriously guys... it is amazing.
First Aid Beauty: Ultra Repair Creme Intense Hydration // Southern CA is dry. You all probably know this. I must be dumb because it never occurred to me that I was moving to a desert until my skin was flaking and dull. My entire body looked and felt like it was the middle of the winter in the MidWest. I dug through all of my moisturizers to find something that would help my face out and this little tube did the trick! I never thought I would need something so heavy to keep my face in check during the summer months and I am a little afraid of what I am going to experience come winter. But that my lovelies is a post for another day.
Talk to you guys on Friday!
