Books in Review Nº 2 // Bossypants by Tina Fey
Tina Fey and I have a lot in common. She is 45 years old and does not have a current drivers license, I did not get my drivers license until I was 22 years old. She has brown eyes and brown hair, I have brown eyes and brown hair. She is hilarious, I think I am hilarious. Oh, and we both have younger brothers! Okay, maybe that's it. Tina is way cooler than me and I think that is really for the best. This book was great, I listened to it twice last month and I laughed just as much the second time around. I love how she introduces the book with all the reasons you may have bought the book including a great little peanut joke just in case you bought it for some good laughs. She also talks about some pretty serious things like photoshop and how much we judge ourselves (in particular us ladies). There are two parts in particular that I loved more than the all the rest of the book the first one was when she took the time to reply to questions people had asked about her on the internet (so freaking funny!) the second was when she discussed the two little Greek kids that her Mom babysat once upon a time. Something that I really need to hear on a regular basis that she talks about at the conclusion of the book is that EITHER WAY, EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY! Words to live by if you stress as much about EVERYTHING like I do. Thank you, Tina, thank you!
