City Exploring Nº 1 // Lincoln, NE
Lincoln is about forty-five minutes away from Omaha yet I had never actually taken a day just to go and peek at what the state capitol has to offer. On Friday Jill and I made our way deeper into the state to meet up with her sister Abby and do some exploring. We picked a pretty terrible day to do this as you can tell by the clouds in the picture, about halfway into our drive it decide to POUR and continued to do so till about an hour or so before we left town. We are already making plans to come back to actually make it to the places on our list.
We hit up LeadBelly in the Haymarket for lunch. So good! I had a buffalo burger and accidentally forgot to ask for no blue cheese. Surprisingly loved it all the same. I even attempted to convince the husband to make the drive Saturday evening to grab dinner.
Next on the list was Letter Bee Paperie right down the street so that I could purchase one of Emily Ley's planners. I have been wanting one of these planners for almost two years now and always miss ordering one online before they sell out. I am now the proud owner of a pineapple print daily planner and I cannot wait for it to be July 31st, 2015 so that I can start using it!
The rain was going a little crazy when we needed to determine our course of action so we decided to make our way in the vehicle to The Pilgrimer and purchase a few new Wax Buffalo candles, I picked up the Wasabi one after a lot of consideration. I pretty much wanted all of them but do not need that many new candles in my life.
This entire street is lined in trees that have been split down the middle going around the telephone wires, it was pretty cool. Until next time dear Lincoln, you impressed me more than I expected.
