Relaxation, ahhhh... one of my favorite ways to relax is with an in home spa night. A lot of people would start by filling up the bath tub, personally I'am not really a fan. On a very rare occasion (about once a year, if that) I will toss a bubble bomb into a warm bath and relax in the tub. Most often though my idea of a nice relaxing soak is in the form of a really long, really hot shower, I take my time and just enjoy the process instead of rushing through the day to day motions so that I can walk (run) out the door at a decent hour to the office. Here are some of the items that I use on those few and far between relaxing evenings.
Candles: I am very particular about scents some scents I find to to be very soothing and relaxing others just give me a headache. One of my all time favorite candle scents is Twilight Woods from Bath and Body works. I attempted to link this specific candle up above but it seems that they have discontinued this scent in candle form, sad day. I will have to treasure my last half used one for as long as I can. Luckily they have a whole lot of other amazing candles to pick from!
Body Wash: The man and I both go crazy for some Lush body wash, we have found that they are so moisturizing and last for just about forever! You only have to use a tiny bit on a loofa to cover yourself from head to toe. I have linked my two most purchased formulas above.
Body Scrub: I am really enjoying The Body Shop's body scrubs at the moment, more specifically, I am most likely to reach for Honeymania it smells delicious and has a very light sweet scent that is not overpowering at all even when you layer it with other items like the Honeymania body butter.
In-Shower Lotion: This is a very new discovery for me it has helped me actually moisturize on a day to day basis and has grown to be such a part of my routine that I reach for it every time I shower. My body (more specifically my legs) get SO, SO, SO dry like scaly, itchy, dry and as I mentioned earlier typically I am rushing around like a crazy person trying to get ready to go in the mornings this has really has helped me lock in some moisture so that I am not uncomfortable all day. I still use it on my spa nights because it cuts down on how much body cream I have to slather on myself.
Face Mask: The best natural face mask that I have ever used is Lush's BB Seaweed mask it is a blend of seaweed, almonds, aloe, rose, honey and olive oil, how could you go wrong with those ingredients? I remember being so impressed the first time I used it I made the husband feel my face and how soft it felt (pretty sure he was equally impressed) it has been a favorite of mine ever since.
Lip Balm: This stuff is amazing. Seriously, slather this on and you won't even think about grabbing chapstick again. It has a thick consistency and a touch of grit to it but not at all in a bad way it smoothes and softens even the most parched kisser.
Body : My go to body cream would have to be The Body Shop's Vitamin E body cream, it is super hydrating and has a very light rose scent to it. If you know me you probably know that anything with a rose scent is always going to win no matter what. It is entirely possibly that I smell like an old lady most days, but I am perfectly okay with that. : )
